Make it harder to get an abortion.... problem solved

There's nothing the UK likes more than messing with Russia... at least it will distract us from Brexit-style self-owns in the near future.

What Microsoft tried to do to Java in the 2000's

Yes, but also because the rest of the books abandon the swashbuckling action and are basically science fiction political dramas.

Doesn't he have to put the whole 85m in a bond deposited with the court as a requirement to begin the appeal process?

[-] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

Me too, however I vaccinated early and was mostly good about isolation when it was required, hence it's plausible that I have been lucky.

Spotted today in London, England. What is this clear plastic shelf below the car's license plate?

I'm running another free comedy show at The Glitch on Lower Marsh. This show is totally free, just turn up. If you find me (just ask for Sal), a pint of the usual for anybody who tells me that they found out about the night via this post.

Is there a way to connect Matrix to MS Teams? And for bonus points, Zoom's messaging system?

Have some classic early 2000s meme-rock

I could have connected one of many affordable and excellent-quality webcams to my computer, but I think this is better. Nikon's new 24mm f1.7 lens is really good for desk-based closeup work.

I took this photo at BST Hyde Park today. Lana did eventually perform and she wasn't cut off like at Glastonbury.

"But her emails!"

Insisting on similarity is a kind of lie to make Clinton’s conduct look worse than it was, to make Trump’s look more benign than it was, or both at the same time.

I enjoyed this video because vast sections of London, are easily recognizable from this 60 year old video:

"A Journey from Castrol House in Marylebone Road London, to the City of Bath in a MKII Jaguar in 1963. Advanced motorist George Eyles takes us through London, out over the Hammersmith Flyover (an area which has really changed a lot) and follows the A4 West onto Reading and a newly built section of the M4. Later he passes through Newbury, Hungerford, Chippenham, Malborough, Calne, and ends at Bath. It is fascinating to see how all these towns and roads looked back then"

Some friends of mine are running a free evening of improv comedy at The Cavendish Arms, near Stockwell.

Cavendish Arms is best known as a stand-up comedy venue, but they’ve opened their stage to this bunch of scriptless weirdos. Please come along for an evening of free entertainment. We've booked some of London's best teams of improvisers.

I’m going to be there, and I will personally buy a pint for anyone (up to 5 people) who tells me that they saw this ad on Lemmy!

Support for SDL and Linux's threading model means that Dwarf Fortress might soon be available on Linux machines.

Cajsa Lilliehook has kindly compiled a list of GOP and right-wing sex abusers. It's an astonishingly long list, especially when you consider that this is the party that argues we need to be protected from drag queens. Perhaps their rage at drag performers is merely a means of distracting from rampant abuse within their own ranks?
