I like Audacious. It does everything I need it to do and doesn't have an oversized webesque GUI.
Harmoniod looks nice but I think the GUI would annoy me (pretty as it is). I might try it out though.

That's the normal way for right-handed people! If there's no knife then fork goes in the right hand.
A direct link to the ActiveX control would possibly be useful. I can ensure it is installed then. I'm not sure if Microsoft ever provided a separate download. I'm running it on a MiSTer through the slooooow serial connection so there's an outside chance it's just taking too long and timing out. I would expect given the speed of Internet connections back then, that it would be fine though (115.2k is still faster than 56k).
I couldn't get it to work unfortunately. My first attempt downloaded the ActiveX control and then failed after that (can't remember how). I deleted the ActiveX control and since then it just gives me an error page and doesn't re-download it.
Umm... maybe. It went into my cup* of knowledge!
*I put something else here but it got corrected and then I couldn't remember what I put.
