Just about to start a rewatch of The Wire for the first time in 14 years. Gonna be great!

I love Moon! Such a fantastic sci-fi movie. I always suggest that one to folks looking to watch one.

I’m curious, what is the sitemap endpoint used for generally?

Oh damn, I didn’t even catch that!

It is absolutely infuriating. It blows my mind that you can have a USB 3.2 Gen2 cable that does everything you need it to, except for the fact that it doesn’t support Power Delivery and a lot of the time you won’t even know, so if you’re sending high wattage through it there’s a real possibility you’re gonna burn some to kind up.

I know, it is a never ending source of minor comedy that “Universal” is right there in the name.

“USB 4 2.0”… someone should really do something about the incredibly goofy naming scheme.

It is more complicated than that. There are multiple different server components that make up Bluesky and its federation. The PDS (Person Data Server) is what they’re mostly talking about in that press release. You can however run all three major server components yourself and setup a completely separate network that would then federate with Bluesky proper. It’s quite different to Mastodon and other ActivityPub services (where you setup a Mastodon, Lemmy, WriteFreely, etc… instance and then federate).

Still, at present it does feel a little pointless.

Oh wow, that’s really cool! I’ll definitely take it for a spin. I’ve been thinking that something like this would be great.

From what I’ve read of this, it’s basically already done. The developer is just waiting for AT Protocol federation. I’m not sure how to feel about how it works though, it’s got some quirks because of the differences in the protocols.

I like your example there a lot, I’m going to use that in the future when I’m trying to express that notion. In the past I’ve never been able to articulate that exact concept. So thanks!

I do really hope we get several more seasons of Prodigy. When I first started watching it I thought for sure it would the Trek I wouldn’t like, but I was very wrong.
