Look, centrism is a real thing. There are people who really do like to analyze each and every problem from a more or less unbiased viewpoint and form strong opinions without the influence of ideology, while being ready for a compromise. Anyone who was serious about being a centrist I ever talked to defined their ideology this way.

With that being said there also are right-wingers who like to masquerade as centrist or sometimes moderate left just so they can use their supposed position to more effectively plant their ideas and try and normalize them.

But the thing I'm sick and tired of is when people try and pretend that this is true for every centrist, while ignoring the real problem that there are radical elements that try to masquerade as moderate ones and in doing so are polarizing and actively destroying our society.

Well landing on a trampoline versus landing on basically anything else is a big difference. If I haven't landed on my head half a dozen times while in the trampoline, then I haven't landed on my head at all.

So then Romania will secede from Hungary, but then Moldova will secede from Romania. Now bare with me for a moment...

I personally belive that most legal punishments serve the purpose of preventing further crimes to be committed by the people already known to commit crimes, unless the crime is with victim, which in this case it isn't. So by this principle it is entirely nonsensical to persecute someone, since the crime to be prevented doesn't require them to be locked away.

I personally like to wait a few days before I start guessing potential winners, but just so this post has something to say, at the very least I think

  • Kirishima will remain as Ozeki, seeing his win yesterday, and maybe even be a runner-up.
  • Takakeisho will probably have a hard time this tournament, as his performance seemed to lack his usual energy, probably because he didn't have as much time to practice in the last few months, because of his injuries.
  • Hoshoryu will have 10 or more wins.
  • Asanoyama will probably be a runner-up and be promoted either to Komosubi, or striaght to Sekiwake if more than two of those drop out, or he wins.
  • Mitakeumi will be kachi-koshi, there is no way he can't be when he is already this low in rankings.
