I wonder that myself. Someone didn't double check the QR code before sending it into production... but you'd think a huge company like Mattel would have some SOPs for this kind thing.

There seems to be a commenter on the article that is saying it's a Western Digital firmware issue and not a Windows issue.
It’s NOT a Windows issue. It’s an SSD firmware issue.
Linux developers encountered this firmware bug back in 2022.
That's super neat. I'll get around to checking it out at some point.
You know, I remember that. My PS1 never had an issue, but I know a few people who did.
And soon enough we'll see 1tb games once storage is plenty.
I have learned that there is a toooon of variance in things you'll see here. It's a little nutty, but also interesting.

I do a workaround when installing/setting up Windows on others PCs. Use my dummy MS account -> create local user -> change to admin -> delete out the MS account. Boom, then only the local account is on the PC.
