The Sixers are truly cursed

Isn't he just so nice?!

I really dislike ad driven publications. I'm not opposed to paying for quality news publication, but for something like NYT, there's only a couple articles a month I come across that I'm really interested in reading. There problem is that there's 4-5 other paywalled publications where I have that same issue. I'm interested in their content, I just can't justify the subscription price for the small amount of content from them I'll actually consume, and I really can't justify paying subscriptions for 4-5 publications at once.

I would pay $5-10 a month for a news aggregator for paywalled publications. It could be set up in a way that the publications get paid per view of their articles, it could be opened up to independent writers as well (e.g. integrate your substack with it). Maybe even an additional fee that includes digital magazine publications as well.

I can't imagine it would be worse for the industry (unlike Spotify), as it already seems like journalism/news is hovering above collapse. They would be making money off of people who weren't providing revenue previously.

Does anyone have a paywall-removed version of this? I tried putting it through 12ft Ladder, but apparently that tool is disabled for NYT.

I'm pretty sure it's because it's just a misdemeanor charge or something like that. Too lazy to confirm though.

Sure that's high, but I don't think that's quite what makes this truly asshole design though. It's that the trial is on a weekly subscription of $4.99 when a year is only $9.99. $4.99/week for a year is $259.48 which happens to be 2,597% more expensive than the annual subscription. They are hoping people select the trial and forget about it while they rake in an astronomical amount for a third party app for an open source social network.

I think it has more to do with minors operating machinery in the workplace. If he was 18 it's "just" a horrible workplace accident. But since he was 17, it was illegal for the company to have him operate that piece of equipment and that's why they were in court over it.

Google's messaging app actually has a desktop browser based client that you can use to send messages from your computer. So that might actually be a good solution for you. I use it regularly and have no complaints about either the phone app or the web app.

The only way I enjoy drinking robusta is doing Vietnamese coffee with a phin and adding plenty of sweetened condensed milk. One thing to be aware of is that robusta has about double the caffeine of arabica. So depending on how caffeine affects you, you might want to take it easy.

I overcompensate for my subpar burger grilling skills by going all out with the fixings. Toasted sesame bun, cheddar, crispy bacon, ketchup, red onion, fresh jalapeno, tomato, romaine, mayo. Squash it down and chow it down.

Never heard of this, but I just tried it and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the recommendation!
