How do these idiots wind up in power, though? Oh yeah, citizens keep electing them.

My car happily understands 10tonn signs as 10km/h limit, or pedestrian crossings as motorway (130km/h max). It also hss zero awareness if a speed limit is still relevant (eg have we passed an intersection since).

I don't have high trust in this tech currently.

Kinda surprised an obvious troyan horse like us is still allowed to be in NATO.

That is a difficult topic. Google did take steps to mitigate issues there. Android got Hardware Abstraction Layer to prevent blobs from blocking updates ; also, a lot of updates were moved from AOSP to the Play Service, so Google can more easily roll them out. (And to make AOSP and 3rd party roms less of a threat, eh.)

Edit : that said, most android phones have woefully short support period.

The feeling I get is his opposition/hate of the western world leaves him no room for nuance. Ukraine is helped by the west to defend against Russia = Ukriane has to be wrongand Russia has to be right.

Realising this also makes me question a lot about him, to be honest...

According to Chomsky, Russia is acting with restraint and moderation. He compares Russia’s way of fighting with the US’s during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, arguing that large-scale destruction of infrastructure seen in that conflict “hasn’t happened in Ukraine”.

Seems very unambiguous to me.
