I’m very new, so I’m not sure, but what I’ve heard is that the guy/gal that ran feddit.de had more important life things to deal with, so the community stepped up to create a new instance to replace it.

Thanks! And yeah, they definitely don’t seem like they’re half way, lol, so that’s good to know. Another commenter suggested the Loomis method, so that should help me place things better.

I always drew the top hat guy as a kid, so I thought I’d try doing a modern rendering. I quite like him, too. :)

Will do, thanks! :)

I also have no idea why none of my women look feminine. A few of them have an awfully strong jaw, lol, but other than that, I have no clue.

While that one guy with the tall head was intentionally silly, I think I’m struggling most with proportions. I’m using a reference image for most of these, but none of the end results look much like the people in the photos. I’m also not using a grid as I’m doing this all with pen. I know I’ll eventually get it with practice, but is there anything specific I could try?

Remember when the Hummer H1 was the biggest, most obnoxious passenger vehicle on the road?

This one is parked between two new Blazers, which are as wide and have distinctly taller hoods.

The one downvote on your comment was probably a straight man.

Check my yard. They’re rampant, so you’re welcome to as many as you’d like, lol.

Mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut, aber ich möchte mehr lernen. Warum ist “Euch” großgeschreiben?

Would you like it to grow so all of your other, non-technical interests could have active communities? Do you want more people for moral and philosophical reasons? Or are you enjoying being in a niche? Are you happy to have a platform full of techie individuals, even in communities not explicitly tied to anything techie (much like this one)?

My answer to all of these is “yes,” so I’m not quite sure what I want. What are your thoughts?

Ditto on the cycling. I’ve only ever gotten in one bad accident on my road bike, but if I hadn’t worn a helmet, I wouldn’t be here today. I got ran off the road by a car overtaking another when they shouldn’t have, went straight for a tree, used the roots as a sort of ramp to launch myself 5ish feet in the air, and landed helmet first on the road again with my bike landing on me soon after. I’ll never get on the bike without a helmet unless I’m on the trainer, no matter how short or safe I think the ride is.

I’m just replying to this because I wanted to see what color came after purple in Voyager…

Edit: It’s pink!

I’ll go first. After your turn the water off in the shower but before you get out, use your hands to wipe off any standing water on your body. Maybe even give your legs a bit of a shake. This way, you won’t drip nearly as much when you get out, keeping the floor and your towel drier.
