I'm not a big book reader these days but I'm so used ereaders now that I feel like it's more comfortable than reading a big book. Definitely easier to carry around and read in low light conditions (if yours has a backlight) and personally I don't think there's much loss in "fidelity". Also, downloading books for free is nice.

Idk about best but this is one of the more impactful songs for me that's very lyrically strong:

Milo - An Encyclopedia

Specifically the verse leading up to:

Darrien Hunt cosplaying was killed for his hobbies
And I love Mugen too
And that's the thing
I love Mugen too

(in reference to the character Darrien was cosplaying as)

You're not considering the lost revenue from not filling those positions at all which is a lot more money. There's a big shortage for positions that pay peanuts and they likely wouldn't have been able to hire/get more hours out of adults at the same pay rate.

"The franchise received a $56,106 civil penalty for the violations, according to the news release."

My 2012 laptop runs windows 10 perfectly fine and has the latest security updates. We're way past the point of using hardware limitations as an excuse for companies to drop support early.

I don't see why a school should have to replace their basic computers with an equally basic computer after 3 years unless it's broken beyond repair. I don't think the OS itself is doing much more than what an enterprise copy of windows does for security.

You can check the number of users on an instance at the bottom of the instance sidebar on the homepage too.

I'm not doubting his arrogance or stupidity but unless he's doing it personally then laundering billions of dollars then the value of crypto that was held by Tesla was inconsequential relative to the value of his shares:

The company disclosed that it currently owns $218 million worth of digital assets after selling $963 million worth of bitcoin

(The rest being dogecoin)

He didn't make money off of crypto and already had an estimated 20+ billion dollars in wealth before 2020. Telsa stock price shot up from around $20 a share to $400 after the quantitative easing (ie. "the money printer") of March 2020 where he saw his wealth go 20x by doing absolutely nothing (currently Tesla sits at more than 10x pre-Covid price).

It's important to remember that there are children on the internet that comment like every other user making it difficult to tell whether the person replying to you has a fully developed brain or not. There are also a lot of stupid, unreasonable or unpleasant adults (or any combination of these things) who do not understand or care to understand your specific situation or take back the unfair things they said to you.

While it may not be easy for you to outright ignore them, it may be easier to ignore the feelings that may arise from those hurtful words when you put things into context. That is not to say that you should ignore the opinions of others online completely but that you should give less weight to any one individual comment. The anonymity of the internet makes otherwise polite people say things in ways they would never think of saying in person.

Yup, just click on your username on the top right, select settings and scroll down to Themes

There you can set your own selection that will ignore the instance default. In this case the old one was darkly or lightly (depending on your browser being dark or light mode I think?) so either of those will be what you're looking for.

If you filter by Local then you would see anything from the communities here even if you aren't subscribed to each one but if you filter by Subscribed then you only see stuff from communities you are subscribed to here and elsewhere.
