My spinning issue was resolved by not selecting a language when posting. Keeping it as Select Language allowed me to post.
Had to use my Lemmy.World account to do it for your instance but check now and you should see one subscriber and it should now be visible in search.
This is how it works from what ive gathered:
First search for it using [email protected] then go to the URL manually: https://currentinstance.domain/c/[email protected]
Then subscribe from there. Needs to be done if no one has already done so for that particular community between those 2 instances. Definitely needs reworking to be more user-friendly.
I definitely prefer no overall karma count. Facebook does a thing with a top contributor label next to peoples' name in groups which could work. Maybe something fairly easy to attain such as 'Active in community' might be useful.
I think the less competitive the incentives the better as it just drives behavior that negatively impacts groups as a whole.
The Dragon Quest series if you're into traditional RPGs (it's the franchise that kicked off the genre basically). DQ1-3 have GBC remakes but are a little dated (3 is a fan favorite. 2 not so much). DQ 4-6 have DS remakes with 4 and 5 being the best entry point in my opinion. Art is by the creator of Dragon Ball too so if you like that it's definitely a plus.
You need to search for [email protected] in your instance first then try the first they sent you again
I ran into the same problem with DuckDuckGo today while troubleshooting an issue and found out that DDG doesn't cache pages themselves due to cost however they have a command that redirect you to the Google cached page: !cache
eg. reddit.com/r/subreddit !cache
The name (what shows up in the url) has to be lowercase. The display name can have uppercase.
So I think sometimes you need to do both in that order for it to load in another instance (if no one else has done that before for a particular community between the 2 instances):
First search for it using [email protected] then go to the URL manually: https://currentinstance.domain/c/[email protected]
Not the most intuitive but it works for me
He certainly doesn't make it easy for himself
TRUMP: I was just thinking, because we were talking about it. And you know, he said, “he wanted to attack [Country A], and what . . .”
STAFFER: You did.
TRUMP: This was done by the military and given to me. Uh, I think we can probably, right?
STAFFER: I don’t know, we’ll, we’ll have to see. Yeah, we’ll have to try to—
TRUMP: Declassify it.
STAFFER: —figure out a—yeah.
TRUMP: See as president I could have declassified it.
STAFFER: Yeah. [Laughter]
TRUMP: Now I can’t, you know, but this is still a secret.
STAFFER: Yeah. [Laughter] Now we have a problem.
TRUMP: Isn’t that interesting?
