I agree with you (hence why I finally got my dual citizenship and voted) but a lot of people can't see beyond their own needs. An existential reason was never going to be enough to galvanize them.

You're in the headline, btw.

It's insane to me how Democrats keep appealing to the right, when their historically greatest turnout has been galvanizing their base like with Obama.

And yes, a war criminal's endorsement is more important to me than a pop star's. One of them actually works in policy.

Bro BFFR Dems had Dick and Liz Cheney endorsing her, exactly what part of their base is a war criminal and his nepo baby supposed to appeal to?

Edit to add: this is who they sent to stump for Harris in Michigan and other swing states btw

We literally have the numbers, it's called "counting the ballots". What in the post-fact world?

This has to be a troll.

Ok bro, and what about the DEMOCRATS that didn't vote this time around??

How did Harris lose 10-15 million votes + Trump lost 2 million votes from 2020 if EVERY INDEPENDENT from 2020 voted Trump?

No, blue voters didn't vote for Republicans. This is the second thread I see you posting this misinformation when it's not remotely true outside of ONE demographic (Latino men). Left of centre democrats just didn't show up to the polls (and they had no reason to, tbh).

You can look up the turnout numbers yourself, it's literally headline news.

Edit: nvm, you seem to have it out for Bernie and think Biden/Harris was a fine ticket even when Dems were asking Biden to step down. I see your game.

The consensus seems to be that people that voted democrat in 2020 voted republican this time because they experienced inflation under Biden that think it was his fault.

What consensus is saying this? Outside of Latino men and first time voters shifting to Trump, most analysis (so far) is that the Democrats lost around 10-15 million votes from 2020, compared to Trump losing only 2 million. If all the Dems/Undecideds moved to Trump, he would have not lost voters.

What was the Red vs Blue turnout in Nebraska in 2020 vs 2024, I bet that would go a long way to explain why the union leader lost.

I'm really not trying to be conspiracy brained, seriously, but won't the DNC also be making money from a Trump presidency? Stocks/private contracts of the DNC executives aside, don't they also get huge amounts of donations when they're the "opposition"?

I'm not saying they purposely ran a shitty campaign, but they clearly have a "silver lining" for if Trump won compared to us normies. Man, it's so fucked, please someone give me evidence to the contrary, I beg.

Yep, Trump's popularity went down with white voters (albeit only 2-4 points depending on male or female) but gained ground in Latino and "other unidentified" minorities. He also actually lost older voters too.

But I think the biggest surprise for me is that Trump gained more of the new voters than Harris. And while I don't have a gender breakdown from that, I wonder if a lot of those were males.

No jokes 😡

(no but seriously I don't think anyone in the "Hitler Youth" post is in a joking mood :,) )

They shouldn't have to.
