All stations, TV and radio, get huge amounts of money from advertising. So they maximize commercial time to maximize revenue. Hence all stations go to commercial breaks around the same time. It's a formula. If you look at TV shows from the mid 80's and early 90's, you'll see 2 commercial breaks per half hour. Now you see 3 breaks per half hour and about every 7 minutes during hour-long shows. These same rules apply to radio, however they don't really have "shows" anymore. Just hour long segments interrupted by ads about every 3 songs.

Is anyone really surprised? His tag line on his shit TV show was, "You're fired!".

I know that it's popular to dismiss President Biden. I get it. He's old. This is the first election featuring the 2 oldest candidates, ever. So what? The future of the WORLD is literally dependent on this election. To boot Biden from the ticket and try to bootstrap another candidate is madness. Booting this incumbent and hoping his VP will succeed is like firing the cook and hoping the dishwasher will give you Michelin-quality food. Stick with the old man, and figure out a way to enact his popular policies while also expanding the Supreme Court, enacting term limits and limiting "Christian" Nationalists.

Clueless American here. I saw a commercial for Nationwide bank promising the keep their branches open until at least 2028. Is there a push to close banks? Is this more fallout from Brexit?
