What I find really sad is how fast people call others transphobic. Numerous times I've even seen trans people being called transphobic.

Sometimes it's also just people making honest mistakes and sometimes people double down on shitty positions if cornered by an insult like being called a transphob. Is that ok? No but it's also human nature unfortunately.

But I get it there is a lot of hate especially in recent times where it is a constant topic in the US culture war. And it must be exhausting to see hate in so many places. A lot of actual transphobic people are akso not acting in good faith of course. This just makes me more sad :(

Ich gebe zu, dass ich deinen gestern nicht gelesen habe, aber das hätte ich mal früher machen sollen.

Laut dem Artikel gibt es Einnahmen aus dem Straßenverkehr von rund 50 Mrd Euro davon sind 25 Mrd Euro zweckgebunden. Ausgaben 70 Mrd Euro.

Daher decken die direkten Einnahmen ca 70% des Straßenverkehrs.

Auf der Schiene sieht es schlimmer aus: 1 Mrd Euro Einnahmen (ohne Angabe ob es zweckgebunden ist) und 16 Mrd Euro Ausgaben. Daher deckt die Schiene nicht einmal 10% der Kosten. Das würde eher für eine deutliche Erhöhung der Einnahmen durch den Zugverkehr sprechen.

Das direkt zu machen ist auf den Straßen nicht praktisch, daher der Umweg über diese Steuern.

Man geht ja nicht tanken oder besitzt ein angemeldetes Auto nur damit man nicht fährt.

In the end humans are not at all times rational. There is no homo economicus. Economics is as much math as it is a social study.

A bunch of numbers is not immediately a vector. To be a vector you need the defining functions of a vector field also. Like addition and scalar multiplication.
