Obviously in your opinion, which role videogame style is the best? Why you don't like the alternative? How does this affects LeBron's legacy?

Especially for those of us with no coding background, who can't just build/edit an app.

For example, I like using Gadgetbridge to replace my fitness tracker app: https://gadgetbridge.org/

It's not nearly as full-featured as a regular fitness app, but it literally can't connect to the internet so there's no way anyone can get my health info.

Durability-wise? Pain-wise? Covering or showing-wise? Where did you inked your first one?

I use Gboard.

The main things I like about it are:

  • Very customizable (I like having number row always visible, and having long press for symbols on each letter).
  • Has gif support built in.

My biggest pain point is:

  • It auto corrects words that are spelled correctly to other words. I type "our" and it changes to "out", I recently typed "purpose" and it changed it to "purple". Autocorrect is awesome and necessary, but I hate that it corrects words to other words and not just typos. I wish I could find a keyboard that has the things I like without this annoyance.

Am I looking for a unicorn? Let me know! 😄

I've been issued a work laptop with Windows 11, running the Sophos Endpoint Agent, which monitors all web traffic and processes running on the PC and blocks malicious stuff.
If I install a Linux VM on it and access the web from inside it, will the Endpoint Agent see what I'm doing and be able to block access the same way as it does on the host?

I guess what I'm asking is, how does accessing a website from inside a VM work, actually? Does all the traffic get routed through the host OS unencrypted?

The purpose isn't to try to circumvent any security measures or go over the heads of the IT department, but rather to find out if I can make a case for using my favorite OS on this thing without compromising security.

Feel free to define "average" how you see fit. This isn't about debating what is average person. Comparisons to the averages in your age / friend group are fine too.

Ignore the dirty window lol. Had them in our house for over a week in that spot now, but this is the first time they turned around. I find the legs mesmerizing

Does LiFePO4 have any other drawbacks? (www.battery-energy-storage-system.com)

I have been considering replacing lead-acid batteries with LiFePO4 batteries and came across this blog by chance.

Full blown essay like answers are more than welcomed. What does the 'ruling class' gains from surveiling it's own population. What do they fear the most? What there is to lose, what there is to gain?

Why can't I expand images and videos beyond this arbitrary border?

I saw an article about keelhauling and realized I don't know much about pirates (those on the sea, not the internet) beyond what I've seen in movies. Tell me your most interesting pirate facts. Mythical or historical.

I am writing to ask if there is a way to clean the lemmy feed out. As far as I see, mastodon follows rss like subscription model while as in lemmy i get plenty of politicial, memes, controversial stuff even if I don't subscribe them. I am tired honestly to block pretty much all such communities and it doesn't help too much too because there is plenty such communities f.e. "onion" "not onion". How do you deal with setting lemmy to serve you only technology / science / news ( only related to tech and science ), cosmos, engineering ones and arts ones ( photography, paintings etc )? I would be very grateful for any suggestions as I struggle to use lemmy as a new user

I'm pretty sure they would. It's not like they'd like to see their seaside properties go underwater within their lifetimes.

Each city has a different mix of subcultures. Some cities are impersonal with posers and businesslike like Linkedin, some may be more of a disjoint cacophony like reddit or an aged police state dystopia like facebook...which ones have the vibe of Lemmy?

and if you don't, any reason why not?

An obvious opposite of a recent question
