One of the best teachers I had was a high school history teacher that I took a World Civ class with. He loved his kids and had a sense of humor when he did his lectures. I always remember writing his jokes in the margins of my notes. He was former Republican who became a lib and a Bernie guy over the years. The guy had sense of empathy and justice for others. He was critical of historical imperialism, something you don't exactly see in most people who teach high school level social studies. I kid you not, he even at times would half-seriously, half jokingly say something like"Damn white people, always invading other countries" when talking about it. I don't know how he could still say that today under DeSantis's Department of Education. He was part of what inspired my love of history, which is something I credit with later steering me away from being either a preening conservative or a mindless lib.

Had a couple of other good teachers, including a biology teacher who's positive energy could power an entire city. Civics teacher was pretty chill, but for some reason she could not pronounce Pelosi to save her life. Always said it "Pell-ee-osy," which I think is funny for someone who's supposed to teach about these people.

I can't really think of any particularly bad teacher. The ones that I might call bad were just "meh." I've had the typical history teacher who taught through dictating notes to copy over a projector screen and watching History Channel documentaries. I'm kinda resentful towards the Kindergarten teacher for getting me an ADHD diagnosis.
