Democrats are Reagan Republicans that co-opted left leaning social issues so they could coup all the insane nationalistic governments they installed during the Cold War with free trade neoliberals.

Indeed...

As I said, there must be something wrong with the U.S if the Republican and Democratic, that are nominally seen as progressive and conservative in Europe, play opposite roles...

Because whatever they do, is always a race to the reaction or current status quo...
