Agreed. And Feinstein barely knows what's going on. Pelosi and the establishment dems are just using her to keep a seat. It's freaking elder abuse, at least in her case.
in both cases i dont understand it, well mitch is a little more understandable as the senate minority leader, the seats are safe for their respective parties. force these people out before they get to this point so they can enjoy some time at home with family.
Feinstein has several VERY important committee positions, including the Judiciary and Intelligence committees. Losing her on those would allow for even MORE Republican shenanigans.
That said, as a Californian, she needs to go YESTERDAY.

Well, it is true that legislative power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical gerontic ceremony.
Wouldn’t she be replaced quickly, resulting in a Democratic majority and new Democrats on those committees
My understanding was that she’s being kept there because Pelosi doesn’t want Newsom to appoint her replacement, since that replacement would have a slight advantage in the 2024 election cycle.
