Get him a super complicated model kit, he'll stare at it and be scared to start.
glances at dusty MG Zeta Gundam ver Ka box in my room
My ds9 kit is doing the same. I'm speaking from experience.
Haha my dusty MG ZZ Gundam ver Ka joins you
When I bought it as my first MG kit, I was like "oh I can get a MG scale ZZ and 100 Shiki next"
This, but with a kit from Five Star Stories instead of Gundam. Biggest you can manage to find!
I started with this ds9 which luckily had a tiny USS Defiant and Cardassian cruiser packed in aa well so I built those for practice. Then found out the ds9 model is clear plastic so you can run led strips through it and all this other stuff which would make my initial project seem like crap and I'd known it whe ever I looked at it. However, I am SO HOOKED on models now and figured I'd do other stuff for practice and now I'm working on some Nascar sets cause my parents are big fans an it'll be a cool gift for them and good practice for me
I haven’t seen you mention the word “airbrush” so I don’t think the patient is beyond saving.
I am planning on installing lights in the ds9 kit and that'll be a whole thing
oh. shit.
