her main qualm seems to be the selection of a specific prison. seems like she doesn't really mind if he was thrown into a different prison.
with friends like these...
It seems unlikely he'd end up in Riker's, if he gets jail time at all. So I think she's in the clear. I'm sure he'd either get house arrest or some very comfortable prison of some kind.
