Could you just switch to the power save profile?
I've done that, but I want to experiment with lower clocks. In the past, I've found efficiency gains by limiting clocks to 70 to 90 percent. I want to try this on my current laptop, and I really like Epp driver so I'd like to use it.
It is already set to the 'power' policy with the powersaving governor. Just want that last touch.
Here's the Redhat docs for it: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/8/html/monitoring_and_managing_system_status_and_performance/tuning-cpu-frequency-to-optimize-energy-consumption_monitoring-and-managing-system-status-and-performance
This seems to mostly apply to Intel, but this is awesome. Hopefully, AMD will get a page or support the same stuff.
