i used to make like 16 lane wide roads when I initially got Cities Skylines. It doesn't work very well and ends up getting bottlenecked esp cuz the game AI (without mods) is really stupid and only uses outer most lane.
Yeah, I was going to say. Doesn’t cities skylines actually incentivize you to design cities relatively well when it comes to transportation and not make them too car-centric? Or maybe that’s only with certain mods?
I kinda managed to fix car traffic by dropping tram lines outside houses... with the budget set to 500% 🫠... and replacing parking space roads with bike path roads
Admittedly I use TMPE for sensor traffic lights (bus priority) and change the driving AI to be more realistic
