I dislike the terms 'alt right', 'extreme right' and 'far right' because it implies that there is an acceptable amount of right wing to be. (hexbear.net)

Alt-right was a way of laundering fascists. I think it's a self-identified label though. Initially it was 4chan idiots who read too much Nick Land (any amount of Nick Land is too much). They wanted to be racist but without the connotations of stagnant American white boomer evangelicals.

The word woke is getting laundered too. At this point it just means gay or trans. People claiming they're against woke ideology might as well call themselves homophobic.
