this is my local target. no checkers, no employees on the floor, only self-check out, but there are 3 dudes in black/OD plate carriers standing by the door

There's at least a few bazingas that see the tacticools when they're shopping and get excited because it looks like the cyberpunkerinos, I bet.
It's not far off at all from the known and established fondness for Star Wars stormtroopers as an aesthetic.
