I think that’s a pretty interesting point that’s never brought up in Gamer Discourse. They complain how western game studios make women fat and ugly and angry while Japanese games game women feminine and busty and attractive and gushing with joy.

But they never talk about how western game studios make every male character gruff, masculine, angry, and muscular while Japanese games generally have them be twinks or just “anime guy” with some VA who’s emulating a high school boy’s voice.

Edit: re-read your comment and realized you basically said what I said with fewer words. I thought you said something else and I tried to expand on it lol
