We live in a "weed is the devil's lettuce" religious cult state but for some reason my city is having a "420 Fest" which I guess is basically gonna be a cracker ass white boy vibe fest since this is the first thing listed in their FAQ:
So like it's be swarming with pigs and mostly just a bunch of edgy kids and middle age white people with a mortgage. It's the absolute most Texas way to celebrate pot, and I almost wanna go to see the Baptist bullhorns standing across the street shouting about how we are all going to go to hell for smoking drugs.
They have to say that. I did 420 in Austin years ago and they said they had a bag policy, but security never actually searched (just glanced) in bags and cops around suddenly went blind to pot. It's almost like they don't really care if you have permits and are making the right people money. Shit, now with THC-A etc. being legal here (corpo boondoggle it is) nobody can tell what you're smoking anyway.
It's the same thing with big music fests. Yeah, "no drugs allowed" wink wink, nudge nudge.
big music fest security is chill because it's just random volunteers doing it for a free pass but inside is completely different
undercovers trying to sell/buy drugs to arrest you and police watching the crowd as they enter so fools who instantly do their drugs at the entrance instead of waiting a bit deeper inside get picked up
I feel it would be a bit different since I'm in the panhandle. But like one of the venues I go to lately doesn't give a shit if you smoke as long as it's out of sight out of mind or whatever. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if they were a bit lax on it.
