Anyone who looks closely at this topic will find there has been a revolving door between media and government staff for quite a while now.

I can somewhat understand why you would hire someone with experience in politics to be commenter for political shows, but my preference would be to draw a line in the sand and to say that people directly connected to power shouldn’t be be on the news, or they should be publicly disclosing their conflicts of interest. That’s journalism 101.

But this hire stepped it up a notch. She was literally fueling the mobs that are sending death threats to NBC News.

Shocker, people don’t want to work with someone that has been working on getting them whacked by crazies.

This is the important takeaway. We can debate the value of pulling people in from different campaigns and administrations. But someone who helped organize and encourage insurrection and propaganda in this manner deserves nothing but ridicule and ostracism. Not a several $100,000 a year job.
