and this is why I never buy Nintendo stuff anymore, even if they are among the better AAA publisher/devs.

- News oriented content (general reviews, previews or retrospectives allowed).
- Broad discussion posts (preferably not only about a specific game).
- No humor/memes etc..
- No affiliate links
- No advertising.
- No clickbait, editorialized, sensational titles. State the game in question in the title. No all caps.
- No self promotion.
- No duplicate posts, newer post will be deleted unless there is more discussion in one of the posts.
- No politics.
Comments.
- No personal attacks.
- Obey instance rules.
- No low effort comments(one or two words, emoji etc..)
- Please use spoiler tags for spoilers.
My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.
Other communities:
Same. I was real happy when the MIG Switch came out. I might actually buy a (used) Switch now.
What a shame. I feel like mods are an example of how passionate fans are and it's not impacting Nintendo's profits if some 12 year old wants to play as Zelda in Trouble in Terrorist Town.
I wonder how long it will be until Nintendo starts targeting other games with a rich workshop community like Teardown.
Another reason why I have grown to dislike Nintendo.
Nintendo died with Iwata.
That makes it sound they weren't overly zealous in taking down mods/fan projects/YouTube videos before.
They were always dicks about the internet.
Never give Nintendo money.
