Mine do both.

What usually happens is one gets inside and the other decides to lay on top to ruin the party.

They understand, they just don’t care.

Same as when you call them.

I'm thinking the manufacturer doesn't understand how cats prefer to lay on them.

Yeah was about to say, this seems like a supplier-side issue.

Just like how we humans insist on putting needless things into boxes, although it can be helpful to protect the all-important box during transport of course so it won't collapse!

I think this is a valid option.

Don't want to destroy your view on this world, but you need to know the truth. Cats don't lay eggs.

I got my dog one because she loved being covered by blankets, and she did the same thing. And then insisted on having a blanket over her anyway. On the plus side, she loved the bed in her own way.

lol, my cats have the same beds and they do the exact same thing. We just leave them flat now, they won’t stay puffed more than an hour

You did not buy one cat bed, you bought two. Keep popping it up and occasionally they will go inside.

If cats love one thing more than everything else, it's doing whatever the fuck they feel like at any given moment. Options keep them engaged.

As long as they’re happy, it’s perfect

The primary directive of the feline hivemind is to succeed in the most incorrect possible way.

Looks correct to me boss.

Counterpoint: no, they're not.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 7 months ago

They understand you want them to.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago

Mine do the same

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

Same with mine.

There's a company that makes things like this that have a hard shell covered with felt (I think felt?); cats can be both inside, or on top. I'll have to see if I can ever find it again; it looked like the cats were quite pleased with that kind of design.
