Watched some clips, it's fascinating how they managed to make killing Nazi's boring and lifeless, even the caricatures of the Nazi's are boring and rote so there's nothing to really draw you in except the over-exagerrated violence and Whedonesque quips.
And most of the violence feels neutered because apart from that massive Swede cutting off chunks of Nazis, it's oddly bloodless
Like people are getting sprayed with bullets and they just do the old cowboy movie arms out and fall over technique
It's weird
It's incredibly sterile. Even the sailors in white suits had 0 blood on them when they got shot, and the one who got his throat slit had a paper cut worth of blood if that!
The best part of the movie is when Churchill says he's making a Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and I shouted "He said it! He said the name!"
tbh watching the trailer it seems more like a bootleg version of SAS Rogue Heroes than inglorious basterds
