Tbh I prefer the spices in the breading a la Popeye's. Makes it more evenly distributed and less messy.

If you just want heat, though, it's hard to beat.

Thats fair. Nashville style and Buffalo style are both messy as hell. I do hate the mess they leave on my fingers and around my mouth when I indulge.

Quality is everything, sweet-spicy stuff is rarely my first go to but when it's done right it's superb. Gotta find places that properly brine their chicken and add the spice to the batter rather than drizzle it on post-frying
