Seems like they only have a problem when it's their boy getting violence.

My frustration is the lack of response from Sticker Mule to all of Trump's demands for violence. Migrants. LGBT. Women. Opposing political party.

Then when violence happens to their boy, suddenly it's problematic.

Fuck that noise.

[–] [email protected] 75 points 1 month ago

Didn't you hear them? They support that.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

You don't get to make fun of violence against others and then clutch your pearls when people aren't sympathetic to violence against you.

  • Jokes about Paul Pelosi
  • There were good people on both sides
  • I prefer presidents who don't get shot.
  • Every callous thing he's said about school shootings.

But now that it's him, it's different. Sometimes I swear we're all NPCs in Trump's game world.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

What bugs me is every trump supporter I've talked too says all that stuff just isn't true and are in complete denial

Like people who vote for Biden know he's way too old and slow to be president

But they also know the other guy is way way worse Trump supporters just don't seem to have critically thought out any of there views

Fascists should live in fear. Always.

"Americans shouldn't live in fear. I support fascism."

does not follow. as always, hogs mean only themselves when they say American, and are willing to kill countless Americans with any difference.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

This kind of crap is said by everyone who supports fascists everywhere in the world. They have managed to convince themselves that the people they support and the ideologies they hold are not fascist because fascism = bad guy, and they are not bad.

They can't be bad, they hardly own any Nazi memorabilia, just the normal room full, the normal amount just like all their friends.

Time for Conservatives to play the reverse-uno victim card again. After stoking the flames of political violence for literally YEARS, they suddenly act shocked and horrified when political violence happens… but only because it was directed at their own. It’s not supposed to work like that, it’s supposed to be dumb liberals getting assaulted/killed without repercussions. Trump should’ve already been tried as a traitor and given the necessary punishment for that. That it took this long for something like this to happen is kind of mind-blowing. MAGA folks have already made assassination attempts on multiple other officials prior to this, including his former vice president.

"…for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” —Matthew 26:52

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 month ago

Thousands of them marched on Capitol Hill at Trump's prompting, tried to lynch the vice president, tried to kill Congress, and several people died as a result. They didn't have any problems with violence on that day, or any day following, until yesterday.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago

The dumb motherfucker told the world how to deal with a troublesome presidential candidate. Now he's going to Pikachu-face?

[–] [email protected] 73 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm SURE Sticker Mule said basically this EXACT SAME THING when someone tried to Murder Nancy Pelosi right?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Interesting how in both cases the violence came from the same side and yet fingers are not pointed. Just another "both sides" post.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

TBF he might have jumped on the opportunity to publicly air his persecution complex before realizing the shooter is a Repub.

[–] [email protected] 72 points 1 month ago (6 children)

Donald Trump was shot? A) barely and I agree, he shouldn't be shot. He deserves the guillotine

[–] [email protected] 48 points 1 month ago (4 children)

He deserves solitary confinement in prison, which is the absolute worst punishment he could imagine. Nobody to kiss his ass, or listen to his lunacy, is a living hell for him.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Lock him away with a constantly playing recording of women with Eastern European accents insulting his looks and masculinity.

Settle down there Guantanamo Gator.

Terrified to express support of Trump

Bullshit

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

Wish I lived in the fictional world this guy is sourcing his persecution complex from.

[–] [email protected] 52 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Well this fucking sucks, I liked Sticker Mule. My wife illustrates and gets stickers printed by them, and they'll send goodies in the box with it (like their hot sauce, which is also pretty good).

I'm all for a business taking a stance of "against violence", but I didn't know they were so pro-Trump. Personally I have mixed feelings because I don't want to open this Pandora's Box of more and more violence, particularly in public places. But I also can't pretend that we'd be better off with Trump gone. We'd at least have the GOP stop pretending that he had the best ideas.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago

I’ve always gotten corporate marketing stickers printed by them and didn’t think to check if they were nutters. Now that I know, I’ll be using an alternative vendor.

[–] [email protected] 48 points 1 month ago

Why TF would you support Trump? What a shitty thing to do.

[–] [email protected] 44 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I have no idea who Sticker Mule is, but I'll add them to the no-buy list

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 month ago

I knew about them. I considered buying stickers from them.

Nope.

It's not that they support Trump.

It's that they're out of touch.

What, exactly, are they scared of? Being told they’re wrong to support trump? Being told facts about conservative actions that have damaged, and will actively worsen, people’s lives, geopolitics, society, and the planet that make them face the fact that their beliefs suck and are harmful? Does it scare them to hear that trump is a piece of shit for innumerable completely objective reasons?

Because I don’t know of any liberals threatening to bring tiki torches to conservative rallies and act like the Hitler Youth, I don’t hear of liberal laws being made that make it ok to run over conservative protesters with your car. I don’t see armed liberals showing up at polling stations.

So what is it they’re scared of, other than being told they’re horrible for supporting a fascist and the dismantling of our democracy?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 month ago

It's regular Repub persecution complex. Saw an opportunity and leapt on it, "muh both sides are so full of hate, why can't we all get along?" I wonder if they quietly deleted the tweet after finding out the shooter is a fellow Repub?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

They're scared of losing their customer base. If most of their customers are trending politically left, they know that it's a potential corporate death sentence to say they support fascism.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 month ago

The "you're fired" guy, who had a cameo in Home Alone 2, was shot at yesterday. What a weird world we live in.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 month ago (5 children)

Lmao, the shooter wasn't a GOP hater, he was a registered republican voter straight out of high school.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago

Facts don’t matter. They have their alternative facts they choose to believe in.

I mean the literal text of the statement is, with some very minor quibbles, fine.

I think the telling point is, just ask “So would you support jail time for anyone in politics who incites violence?”

If the answer is “fuck yes” then you are talking to a potential ally, even if they may be confused by some crazy pants media (of which there is plenty) about where the source of the problem is. If the answer is any kind of hesitation while they try to figure out how to carve out an exception for their side, then they know what’s up and what they’re doing, and fuck ‘em.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago (2 children)

How could the answer be yes when they’re supporting a person that deliberately incited political violence on Jan 6? And celebrated violence when it happened against political opponents or adjacents?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Because the media they consume amped them all up to think January 6th was all a fake, Biden is the one seizing power and stealing elections, and now he’s trying to disable the secret service protection of Trump and get him killed on purpose to stay in power, all kinds of crazy nonsense.

Even on January 6th, in the video where the guy is getting crushed in the door, you can hear a couple people in the crowd who are really alarmed that the guy is hurt. A lot of what’s going on with the Republican rank and file is that they are more or less normal people but the picture is their head is this crazy nonsense that makes it make sense to have the Republicans in charge. They think they are saving America when they are doing these things. I was talking with one yesterday, and he was super in favor of fair elections, paper ballots, representatives from both sides being there to oversee the process… basically he really doesn’t (like sincerely really doesn’t) want his side to steal the election. He just wants it to be fair. And his media has him all amped up on crazy nonsense where that’s not what is happening and the Democrats are stealing elections and ending American democracy and they have to be stopped. And so, the people who really do want to steal elections know exactly how to utilize him to do it.

The model where it’s just like 40% of Americans are these horrible people who are just doing violent crooked things on purpose, is not what it happening, and turning on a personal level against the people who are victimized by GOP propaganda is in my opinion not the way.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Mate I don’t doubt it but skip the media and pull out direct trump quotes for them.

He hasn’t seen a dictator or a white supremacist he doesn’t like.

You can pull a million quotes of him being an absolute asshole lunatic.

Are they not listening to the words he’s saying?

At what point do you say you are actually attracted to authoritarianism because you’re supporting the party that’s promises you that that’s what they will do.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I wonder if you have actually had one of these conversations. They’ve never heard Trump say those things. They have no ideas what’s in his policies, or his speeches, or anything about anything. They just know what’s been reported to them, and it’s all Trump all the way.

It’s hard. Humans are wired a certain way. They knit together into little societies where everyone agrees about certain things. And if literally every single person including every flesh and blood person you talk with, and every person you are parasocially connected with on the TV and Facebook and all these weird news sites with names like realpatriotrollofhonor.com, all agrees it’s one way, and furthermore anyone who disagrees with any of it is the ENEMY and needs to be attacked and ostracized, it’s pretty tough to get to the truth on your own.

I think having a bizarrely fractured world in your head where this stuff all makes sense is much more common than just being a POS who loves authoritarians. I certainly won't say there is 0 overlap, and I’m not trying to excuse any of it in any way - just saying what I think is going on.
