In france-cool , the ukkk , and now the amerikkka the ruling parties have essentially decided to give up on this year's elections. What are they trying to avoid being blamed for? Is it more than just a global recession? Wrong answers preferred.

Maybe they realized they don't need politicians to the degree they once did and see it as a waste. Their wishes are implicit policy at this point.

If something that bad is gonna happen why would the ascendant parties still want power? Although you're right, it is weird that they all just give up so easily. Maybe amerikkka-clap and france-cool have something in common, they have liberal leaders who decided to have fascists win instead of leftists (going back to 2020 primaries in the case of the US, and being generous to Bernie). The UK I think was just unavoidable to the extent that there was no reason to try.
