Ok hear me out, what if his ear just did that?

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 month ago

Very similar thing happened to JFK. I hear it’s hereditary. Very sad.

Can't hear you, speak on the other side

Sure, they staged him getting hit in the ear, what could go wrong

Ok. Here me out. Not that I believe it but I read this more feasible conspiracy theory.

Shooter has been given blanks. He shoots a couple of times before noticing that something is wrong (at this time the secret service is already taking him down). Meanwhile Trump uses a needle to pierce his own ear while hitting the deck, and once he is safe on the ground a second professional shooter takes a couple of real shots to the audience to make it look more real.

Watch the video. You hear the bullet. Blanks don't do that. Also the kid was a gun nut. Blanks VERY CLEARLY don't have a bullet. This is about as feasible as the theory that JFK's head "just did that."

To be fair I have never seen a real bullet in my life, neither a blank bullet. And I don't think I've even heard a gunshots except for maybe a hunter shotgun loaded with pellets. With this new knowledge that theory crumbles easily.

Could've shot someone behind, for glory

counterpoint: it was a rnc figure like bannon or that guy who recently said straight up he wants civil war and it was a win-win situation. if trump dies the chosen successor would soak up the sympathy and if he survives trump gets all that sympathy. either way it's a win for the rnc, and they never gave a fuck about killing innocent people before so don't give me that as proof it's not staged.

I don't think any successor would be able to unite republicans as effectively as Trump did. They wouldn't go away, but Biden might have a shot at getting reelected.

Disclaimer: Biden is too senile, and the rest of the DNC are cowards resigned to a second Trump presidency to arrange something like this.

you can see a bullet in a video

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Exactly my thoughts, it'd look the same on camera. Without the risk

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago

The conspiracy argument there is a blood pack.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Supposedly, he didn’t actually get shot in the ear. The teleprompter was shot and a piece of glass hit him.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

Sick of seeing this. The teleprompter behind him? The teleprompter not ever in use considering the very unintelligible hate spewing that comes out of this dumb fucks mouth? Not viable.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

look up the video where you can see the bullet

Mere inches from greatness…

I really doubt trump would risk having a william tell moment with a 20 year old who was not trained in sharp shooting. Heck even if he was. Now other republicans might be willing to though .

Ugh, I really don't want to feed into conspiracy. I just want to explore the ideas of the conspiracy theories to have better arguments against them. So I wonder, have people talked about that Trump could see it as a win-win either if he got killed or not? If he realizes that he is of old age and wants his ideology passed on to younger generations, becoming some kind of martyr would serve as a boost to his case, and there are many followers of him who would be ready to take his place.

I guess that the problem with disproving conspiracy theories is that once you have a good argument, another crazier theory could easily emerge. I really hope that the investigations lead to some good, hard evidence and that this could be put to rest.

again I don't see it in trumps character. I think he will hang on to every minute of life he can eek out. I don't see him as someone who would sacrifice his actual life for some historical context.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

He is way too much of an egoist for that

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Seriously tho, if it was staged, they probably wouldn't have killed the shooter.

[–] [email protected] 42 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm not saying it was, but first rule of grand conspiracies: kill anyone who's no longer needed, lest they spill the beans..
