The French Socialist party is about as socialist as the SPD in Germany
The "Socialist Party" are succdems at best, i.e. liberals.
not that i'd deny the allegations of them being social democrats, but they wouldn't have sufficient votes with them either

The NFP doesn't have a majority so not sure if it would be worth trying?
