The NATOist right-wing really felt disenfranchised by Trump and that's been playing out for about 8 years now.

Oh, no! Not Portland and Seattle! The horror!

Turns out that an angry mob coming to your workplace with the intent of harming and/or murdering you can make you rethink your life choices.

Don't get me wrong, Liz Cheney is as conservative as they come. I am not going to try to defend her political ideology. Her campaigning for the democratic nominee is not something I would have ever seen coming only a few years ago. But she has a major axe to grind with Trump. Honestly, can you blame her?

This is not the same as the Republicans who go from criticizing Trump to boot licking overnight in hopes of getting a few scraps from the table. Liz got effectively exiled from the GOP and she will never have any standing with the Democrats. Her political career is most likely finished. She doesn't really stand to gain anything from this. She just really doesn't want Trump to be re-elected and is willing to do what she can to prevent that from happening. On that particular subject, Liz Cheney and I are in rare agreement.

Before that Trump performed like a perfectly stable individual. Nothing was wrong with him and then Jan6 happened out of nowhere! Everyone said he was the bestest most stablest and wisest! Who could have seen it coming?

This was a reasonable thing to point out, but the title you used ends up blunting your point completely.

Gonna be honest, I'm failing to see how having your once vehement detractors campaign for you is somehow a bad move. It seems like, if anything, a power move. IDK.

Classic anime trope, even.
