Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.
Rules:
-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --
-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --
-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --
-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --
-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--
-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--
-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --
-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --
Libs will come across an influential personality and completely separate them from important context.
They'll celebrate Yacouba Sawadogo, for instance, for being a pioneer of 20th-century agriculture by reinventing traditional methods for water retention amd soil fertility. And yet, there's something missing...

His methods started to find widespread success in the mid-80s, in his country, Burkina Faso. I wonder what was happening around that time? Oh well, that's not important.
And then 2 decades later the land value of the area he had labored on and improved had shot up and he was struggling to afford the same plot he'd been working for over 20 years. Isn't that just rotten luck? I guess life's just a roller coaster of fortune.

As of March, 1,113 American mercenaries had taken up arms for Ukraine, according to a tally released by the Russian Defense Ministry. At least 491 of these had been killed, the ministry stated.
These guys are learning what the term 'peer warfare' means
Wow, watch StateSpox laugh and make jokes when Matt Lee asks about a UN vote condemning the US embargo on Cuba
Lee: You aware of the vote tomorrow
Miller: I wasn’t tracking this on my bingo card
Lee: How is the US going to vote
Miller: I doubt we’ll be voting to condemn ourselves (laughs)
Lee: Last year of Obama’s presidency you guys abstained, as you probably know it’s basically the entire world votes to condemn it and you and Israel vote against, so do you have anything to say about this yearly display of international isolation
Miller: I don’t (smirks)

I saw yesterday that NATO has decided to make it official canon that Korean troops are part of the Russian coalition in Ukraine. They have also updated the official NATO number of Russian casualties to 600.000.
The official story is something along the line of Russia now needing Korean soldiers because they're running over of Russian.
No link (I'm a lib), just wanted to make an update about the reality our leaders inhabit.
