commrequest
Community and moderator requests and nominations for unmodded communities.
No bulk requests. That means one comm request per post. This is so we can sort out their interest individually.
Community request posts with enough upbears and a volunteer for moderation willing to submit an application will be created during mod drives.
YAY THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Great idea!
oh, "cute" i thought it was going to be those sedans with truck beds
I think we could moderate that sub.
I think you could too
Can we post coupe utility vehicles there?
real holdenposting hours
maloo time
That joke is pretty cheesy but still cute. I’ll allow it.
We like (vegan) cheese, so cheesy is our business
Coupe Utility Vehicle is too good of a line to just let it die in an obscure forum
I'm Owl and I support this message.

Element information
Element is a messaging app that lets you talk to people over the Matrix
protocol.
To get started, check out this link, where you can choose to either download Element for your platform or, if on a computer, open it in a browser.
The instructions that follow are for the desktop application and the web application, but the process is similar on all apps:
Press "Create Account"
We host our own Matrix server, so if you want you can change matrix.org to chapo.chat.
This is completely optional; users who sign up with a matrix.org username can still talk to people with chapo.chat username.
(Note: It is chapo.chat, not hexbear.net. Also, registrations aren't always open on chapo.chat; if they're not, just create an account on matrix.org)
Fill in a username and password
Hit register, and you're done!
I had a question about that and I DM’d and sent a message on matrix. Thanks in advance!
Good request
Good post
I'm writing a comment in support o7
Thanks for your support!!!!!
Sadly they won't do fun names with the c/ because it doesn't show up properly everywhere so it would just appear as "ute"
Well, we’ll just have to call it /c/cute then! Either way, it’s gonna be the cutest damn comm the entire fediverse.
Hell yeah
Which is even funnier because then Australian folks get real confused when they go to post a truck and just see animals
how is this different from [email protected]? could see about getting added to moderation team there
A place for optimism, relentless positivity, anti-doomerism, and snuggle sessions.
We're all in this together, and a better world is possible!
This is now also a space for organizing tips for our collective survival as we confront climate change and everything else. Still no doom-posting. We're here to work together, support each other, and boldly face the future.
Rules:
- Familiarize yourself with the site-wide Code of Conduct
- No doom, no gloom, only bloom. There's plenty of room for doomerism elsewhere. This community is solely for having a positive outlook on the future and spreading good vibes.
- Be kind to your fellow users. This also means no arguing in the comm. Arguments and negativity are not conducive to blooming. Constructive discussion is good. No interest-policing. Support your comrades in their joy!
- Always share good news. We can't exactly enforce this one, but if you have good news, please share it with us! Keeping happiness and positivity to yourself is the twelfth type of liberalism.
I imagine /c/cute or /c/ute being much more visual (pics and videos) and specifically focused on cute things. Stories wouldn’t be disallowed, but they’d have to be cute specifically. Example of the potential difference:
Bloomer story: “Organizer overcomes challenges to form local Starbucks workers union”
Cute story: “Baby sloth celebrates first birthday with watermelon party”
That’s kind of a silly example, but I hope the difference is clear. Bloomer focuses on positive real life stuff that lifts people’s spirits. Cute would primarily be cute pics, videos, etc. that make people happy. They’d both share the goal of positivity, but they’d go about it in a completely different way.
EDIT: Thinking about it more this morning, I think I’d want to also promote /c/bloomer and /c/pets as sister comms since they have a similar vibe.
