Do you think we could promote this community there?
Some I haven't seen mentioned yet:
These ones just look dead though:
- [email protected]
- [email protected]
- [email protected]
- [email protected] (only one post from a year ago!?)
- [email protected]
Not entirely related:
At some point it actually gets difficult to retrieve results using the Lemmy UI interface for communities b/c it seems to sort them in just random order. :-)
Edit: and here's a bunch more too, from my community block list b/c I live in none and browsed by All rather than Subscribed:
@[email protected] and @[email protected], could we maybe promote this community to [email protected] ?
Feel free to make a post there. I will add this community to the sidebars
Thank you!
Nice list, do you think we could start promoting this community there?
That would probably get me banned for spamming the Fediverse. But based on our discussion below, I did post to Texas, and maybe we can ask about some isolated others.
@[email protected] would you mind if we promoted this community in [email protected]?
Wow, -8! Maybe it s the picture?
Tbf it's their 3rd rule that "Posts must have something to do with Texas". I would not have done it at all if I hadn't seen the mod respond to you here (except it looks like the reply accidentally went to the wrong comment).
Isn't a USA community related to Texas? Anyway, sorry to see 😔
I mean... it probably depends on how that statement is phrased. Texas is like a whole other country, and I almost appended some language to reflect that in the title (in retrospect I probably should have: "your "foreign neighbor" to the north!"). On the other hand, the sheer number of American flags present in the state reveals a fierce pride of not only Texas but also of being American. Despite how many times they've voted to try to break away from the USA (I'm not joking there - they really do that, every few years).
Then again, I don't know what subset of Texans frequent that community - probably not the Guns and God kind, but rather those who would enjoy that picture, e.g. from the Austin area being more liberal.
Still, the post legit does not match the content, which is all 100% about the region of "Texas", and this post merely mentions it in the OP text (and not in an entirely flattering light - not so bad, but not like praising it either).
Well, it's their choice to not like it, but we reached out to them all the same to try to be welcoming:-).
Seattle, too. Not very active.
I got you boo!
It looks like you replied to the wrong comment, instead of @[email protected]. So I posted the promo - I hope I didn't misunderstand anything, but if it's not okay and you want to remove it, I respect that too!:-)
@[email protected], do you think we could promote !askUSA on [email protected] ?
I don't see why not!

Do you think we could promote this community there?
I only mod WV, but sure, I can.
We can try promoting it to others, worst case the mods remove the posts
