Not any time soon. The correlation is death within 5 years. And it's definitely not absolute, someone like her with the best healthcare is going to get support most people don't get.

Hey, I tried a quick google search but no luck. Was wondering if someone knew what the position entails? What does a member of the house oversight committee work to do? Forgive my ignorance. Thanks in advance!
It's basically the investigative arm of Congress. When you see random people answering questions in committee it's generally this committee. A good example is the steroid scandal in baseball. They called in all kinds of people to testify to Congress on that.
Oh ok that makes sense. I could see AOC being a good pick for that as she is very direct and not afraid to call out BS. I think the committee would be most effective composed of a diverse group of representatives both young and old.
Conservatives love making AOC the face of the party. I don't think Pelosi is wrong.
And AOC doesn't have issues with clap backs. She is definitely the right person for the job.

Two things:
Pelosi has clearly been enriched by her office via insider trading. Thats something she can be called to question about, and ejected from congress-- even possibly prosecuted. The person in the oversight seat in question would have the power to hold Pelosi accountable. That doesnt seem to be a coincidence that Pelosi would take a special interest in keeping AOC out of that chair. Its the same story as always in the US, The empowered rigging the system so they can be exempt from the laws designed to be applied to the little people.
Living in fear of how conservatives will call you names is a cowards position, on top of being ineffective. If you spend all your time worrying about ways you can be bullied, you are just a slave to the bullies whims, are you not? Better to call them names back or kick them in the nuts. You'll never stop the ridicule by cowering or going along with whatever they say. And the conservatives hate Pelosi more than AOC anyway, so I dont see how your logic is even internally consistent. Are you actually Nancy Pelosi by chance?
Nancy Pelosi needs to GTFO. We dont need 84 year old oligarchs in government positions at all. We should have an age limit, and a wealth limit in order to be eligible serve.
