I have yet to come across someone that is upset about the UHC CEO getting murdered. It is frankly super weird to see most Americans in agreement about something.

yeah I get at best. well really people should not be doing that kind of thing but I understand why he did.

Everyone I've talked to at my job (small software company based in nyc) says he's a hero, or hasn't disagreed out loud. My boss was extremely pro violent retribution against people who profit from suffering. The CEO was like "yeah healthcare here sucks that guy had it coming"

There haven't been any like official announcements or statements. Just conversations.

We were waiting for dayshift to start evening report the other night and the nursing assistants were sharing his manifesto and chittering about how hot he is.

✊🏽 This is the way.

In my professional circles, a lot of quiet acknowledgement and allusions to the UHC CEO reaping what he sowed, or what the industry has sowed. No one at all is shocked. No one is talking about Luigi specifically

I’m a displaced professional working in a deli and kitchen. In that environment it’s gloves off. We would all line up to do Luigi.

It’s so refreshing to be around unvarnished people. This experience has taught me that the entire professional class in this country is living in a state of, I don’t know that to call it, denial?

That said Season two of Severance comes in January.

Severe mental illness due to cognitive dissonance? Learned sociopathy?

Yep. Only actual conversation went "well I don't like murder, but I'm not surprised something like this happened"

It's been strange. Some people I expected to support him didn't and some I expected not to do

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 days ago

All my coworkers think he's super hot.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 days ago

The couple of people I've spoken with about him are supportive of him.

I've only dared ask one person because of who i work with and it didn't go well. Zero ability to empathize with the average American. I need a new job but i also need health coverage for my family

Ugg, sorry. I know I am waving my pitchfork, but I am a man with little to lose and I have a great deal of personal support on this issue.

Thank you for your honest comment. It sucks to be isolated in your beliefs.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 days ago

Family, friends, coworkers have never brought it up (neither have I).

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 days ago

I'm in social isolation, so no real measure. My family are oblivious idiot brick zombies... not unlike myself ATM.

I think the guy is a hero but I don't matter. The country was dumb enough to vote the way it did. So the high bar is set somewhere buried underground here.

People do not seem to be upset about the spilt milk.
