yeah, it compliments the flavor of coffee really well imo

No, but I've used it in cocktails as a syrup, which is basically the same thing, and it's amazing.

Meh. Competes with and/or covers up the coffee flavor. But it works in a pinch.

Dash of maple syrup in a shot of espresso is quite good

It works, I like it.

yeah, my wife does it when i make pots of filter coffee, just like the lightest pour/half a spoon in a mug of filter.

she prefers to mellow out some of the bitterness. I've had a sip of her coffee a few times and it's pretty good

No but honey and coconut sugar together with no creamer absolutely slaps

if it's done lightly with a more earthy and fuller bean I think it'd do great, like Guatemalan SHB or Sumatra. really would help bring out their richness.

I know some people will add spices or herbs to their coffee grinds before pouring water on it, I think nutmeg or cinnamon are popular spices and roasted Chicory roots or roasted dandelion roots are popular herbal additives.

I sometimes add some cardamom to my beans before grinding them 🥰

yeah that's another one I tried once and messed up, it was a bit too overpowering for the coffee but I could see why it'd be nice to add to the pot.

Yes, it's my favorite sweetener in coffee

Will have to try it sometime. Hot cocoa mix in a cup of coffee ain’t too bad tbh.

It's fine, Tovarshi Shark

not bad but not my favorite for black coffee. If you're adding cream or other things all bets are off (and it'll probably be decent)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

Try ice cream too

I've not tried it, but now I must ...

FWIW, I keep a bottle of capsicum extract next to my coffee machine for when I'm feeling extra spicy. That shit is fire.
