Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

I got into a kick of watching artsy animation a while ago and this was one of the movies I saw. It's really brutal, but really good. I also really like "Les escargots" and "La Planète sauvage" if you can get over the fact they're Fr*nch. I remember Felidae being a good movie about cats, but I think it had some weird eugenics theme that I was too young to really get at the time and don't remember enough of now to know if it was cringe or not. Then there's a whole bunch of movies like Wizards, Heavy Metal, Gandahar, Time Masters, etc that are probably only good under the influence.

Oh my gosh, and Plague Dogs, Watership Down, and Animals of Farthing Woods if your life is too good and you want to feel bad. Fritz the Cat was pretty low brow and gross but I like that sort of thing sometimes, like I like a good Troma film every now and then. Now I want to get back into reading through Heavy Metal magazine. There's an anime called Dragon's Heaven that uses a really distinct and detailed style used by an artist called Moebius in Heavy Metal Magazine. The Heavy Metal movies are both cheesy, but I think most prefer the original to Heavy Metal 2000, but I still liked it for what it was. Kuso isn't totally animated but it's got the guy that made Salad Fingers. It's a total gross out film, don't watch if you have a weak stomach, but it's pretty cool. Rock and Rule is a really cool animated movie about a rock band that has to fight a demon or something. I think I'm just going to go through IMDB and find more weird movies I haven't seen yet.
