I've entered a few contests on 500px and got short listed a few times. Haven't tried anything outside of that though. Mostly just do it for fun, and still learning. :)

It's another form of projection I suspect. These trolls have no actual skills and are terminally online. Finding out that people who disagree with them aren't one dimensional losers like themselves drives them up the wall.
