Did it get an ending or was it cancelled abruptly?

Literally can’t be bothered to start a show that doesn’t have an ending already. Why invest any time with a show that doesn’t give a shit about the story and just wants to make money and cancels the moment profitability is gone.

Yeah studios hate this because they want to know how invested people are to know if they should continue. However they made the problem themselves by cancelling so many good shows.

Netflix leaked that if something isn't crazy popular after season 1 it won't get picked up again, which is asinine because we all know so many shows don't get their legs until season 2 or 3

If one thing hasn't been abundantly clear by now is that the people who are currently calling the shots need to have that power revoked.

But to be honest if the story gets good after 2 or 3 seasons the amount of people watching will still be smaller than the first season. I've been so turned off by the WoT series on Amazon, when people said the season 2 is better than season 1 I still didn't have the energy to watch it.

RIP The Expanse. Relatable meme.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The exact show that came to mind when I saw this meme. I WANT MORE!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There's hope. Just rumors, but hope.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (2 children)

IIRC the current plan is to secure a new source of funding. It might take years, but I think it'll work out because the next novel is basically a time skip to a new arc with a new set of main characters.

Mr. Robot 🫗

I rewatch that one every year or so now. So good.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Same. I wish I could watch it for the first time again.

Sam being the one to kill him, and the whole "Goodbye friend" bit, about destroyed me. Last season had some amazing bits.

Then I'd have to sit through the second season again. I almost stopped watching the show after that season. It got much better again after and saved itself.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

When Firefly abruptly stops towards the end of season 1.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

At least we got a movie. It wasn't enough, but it was better than nothing.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

A hasty finish up but done in good faith. Yep.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Parks and Recreation. Rest in peace, baby.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Watch One Piece.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Me for years after Breaking Bad, then again after Better Call Saul

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

The Expanse :/

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Now you watch YouTube videos and read discussions about the show.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Start watching It's always sunny in philadelphia, but skip season 1.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Why skip the fist? I haven't watched it but people keep recommending it.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (2 children)

First season doesn't have frank reynolds/danny devito so maybe that's why

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

S1 is like 6 or 7 episodes and the show is pretty much all bottle episodes (with callbacks) so it’s pretty skippable as a result.

First season isn't bad, it's a little more grounded in reality. As a person who watched it when it premiered, it was something new and wild, but it's definitely tamer, and also as someone mentioned, does not have the craziness of Danny Devito.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Doesn't seem like an instant skip to me. But good to know that if I find it a bit tame then I can keep watching or skip to the next season.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Danny devito is missing which leaves the season with less of their crazy energy. Also they started as a very small production with little money and I think that shows more in the first season.

Anyways, you can start with the first but just know that the show changes somewhat afterwards, it get's better.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Try binging an entire show for several nights in a row just to find out the last episode hasn't aired yet...

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Shitt's Creek could've gone on forever, change my mind.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I will not change your mind. I agree completely.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

I binge watched Bill Hader's "Barry" when the last season came out and didn't know what to do afterwards.

Also had the same feeling when Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad both ended. Such good shows.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I honestly don't know what I'll do when One Piece ends, I've been watching it for the majority of my life.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Rewatch?

Wait for Netflix to finish the adaptation? /s

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Six seasons and a movie 🥲

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Narcos? Now begins the rewatch with subtitles set to Español.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

At least we still had some Angel left.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The vampire show? I never could get into it, even after watching several seasons, and thoroughly enjoying the actors' skill levels. But that theme song... I have it on my music player. It's so good!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

That's me waiting for more episodes of Hajime No Ippo.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

There is always anime.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do what I do, and start that mess over! You know what's better than watching your favorite show? Watching it again!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I have never been able to watch something more than once. The only movie that I can watch more than once is Pacific Rim, because big robots and the story flows so well you don't realize you're already at the end of the movie.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Me at the SGU cliffhanger.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

WATCH IT AGAIN :D

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

then you have to go with one piece again
