I often wished this was the banner over at /r/woodworking so we had something to point to that would clear up a lot of concerns.
Why buy something when you could spent dozens of hours and * checks watch * wait, also spend way more money??
But think how many negative dollars you save by building it yourself!

I'll see if I can whip something up for the icon - but anyone else is welcome to submit something. I am by no means a professional graphic designer.
Even doing it by hand is a large outlay to get going, if you want to do anything beyond nailing two boards together.
Hell, just getting two boards is expensive these days lol
