The specific example is a joke but it isn't far off from what they'll organize for. Although typically its against workers rights and environmental regulation.

Western “farmers”: in reality just bourgeois owners who underpay immigrants, prisoners, and domestic workers being mad because they can only be racist 85% of the time instead of 100%

Indian farmers:

A lot of farmers aren't like Danish farmers, tbh

Remembers system torn apart by the inherent contradictions

"Trust me bro it will work this time."

It's a joke and also would never happen since Danish farmers own the state and get anything they want. Mink farms got shut down during COVID and every mini farmer got to evaluate the value of their farm more or less on their own. They still cried about it.
They get their head and their ass filled with subsidies and they still complain. They pay barely any taxes and they still complain. We have dammed and dried up lakes so they can have more soil, and they still complain. We have rerouted and lowered every single river in this country for irrigation purposes and they still complain.
These assholes use the subsidy money to pay lobbyists so they can be sure they won't ever have to work for themselves - despite the fact that they're all conservative dickheads that hate welfare.
I wish all farmers a wonderful barbara-pit

Thanks for explaining all this.

No worries. Farmers in most of Europe are the old landed elite, their "nobility" obfuscated now by the fact that they "fairly" (you can trace almost all farmer families back to them being granted the land they own by some king or duke) own land which they "work" (hire others).
Farmers delenda est.

Damn, never thought of it like that...

But it makes too much sense; they're what is left at this point...

There are farmer protests across Europe - notably strongest in the Netherlands. They're usually for political causes like protesting against low food prices and against environmental laws like manure regulations, stuff that limits the amount of livestock per farm, etc.

They're also hostile to causes like veganism and see themselves threatened into bankruptcy... which is why they support right and far-right parties, since they don't care about the environment and place "the economy" as its priority.

Like old fascism, these people are the less well-off among the bourgeois (owning the firm) and ally themselves with the force they perceive to make them competitive again.
