Local legislators like aldermen and local executives like mayors can change your quality of life over time.
And I know Biden gets a lot of absolutely deserved shit on here for being a genocide enabler and a neoliberal, but one of my family members who was formerly a Teamster was about to get fucked out of her pension that she earned over 30 years until Biden bailed out the Teamsters pension fund by using funds from the 2021 Covid bill (American Rescue Plan). And there are 360,000 other people who were in the same boat as her.
