Tre anni dopo che il produttore di Fortnite, Epic Games, ha citato in giudizio Apple e Google per presunti monopoli illegali sui negozi di applicazioni, Epic ha ottenuto una vittoria. La giuria della causa Epic contro Google ha appena emesso il suo verdetto e ha stabilito che Google ha trasformato il suo app store Google Play e il servizio di fatturazione Google Play in un monopolio illegale.

Dopo poche ore di deliberazione, la giuria ha risposto all'unanimità di sì a tutte le domande che le sono state poste: Google ha un potere monopolistico nei mercati della distribuzione delle applicazioni Android e dei servizi di fatturazione in-app, Google ha agito in modo anticoncorrenziale in questi mercati e Epic è stata danneggiata da questo comportamento.
