Maybe modify hexblade or something to turn ranged spells into melee spells and make damage less consistent but slightly larger - that could be fun. Or you don't even really need a damage debuff because being melee only would be a big disadvantage. Maybe melee-optional, but there's a greater payoff in terms of damage if you melee cast a ranged spell...

Not everyone with sense. The question was if Harris is electable, if the dems would rally behind her instead of infighting, and if there was enough time to spin up a campaign. Biden was previously electable, had the majority of dems supporting him, and didn't need to spin up a campaign.

Now, in hindsight, Kamala was the right choice. She's been great and people have responded well. But that was by no means a sure thing

Nah. It means you are forced into things without your consent. The world isn't always going to ask if you want something or not. It'd be unreasonable to expect it to. But you should ask for consent before surgically removing part of someone's dick

In home ec class in middle school we watched a food network video about making stuffed hotdogs where they took a straw and cored a hotdog out and then filled it with white, melted cheese from a piping bag. They squeezed too hard and it jetted out the other end and the camera was perfectly positioned to catch the hotdog's thick ropes. Then they played it back in slo motion. The class was very amused.

4chan, in part, ruined real life. So much of the initial meme buzz around Trump came directly from 4chan - god emperor, etc. /b/ and /pol/ had large coordinated campaigns to boost Trump for lulz and to fuck with people. These made the news occasionally and were sometimes quite wide-reaching. Edit: not to forget Qanon, pizzagate, etc.

Additionally, 4chan is responsible for a massive swathe of meme culture more broadly. Most people don't dredge its depths or even know "the hacker named 4chan" exists, but it has been a massively influential force.

Really well argued and explained, I hope people read and don't just reflexively downvote.

They're only worth that if people buy the shares

I definitely recommend it! Have to be very careful about staying safe, though. People don't take injuries seriously enough. But it's great exercise and very rewarding

Guitar: as a kid I just thought it'd be awesome to shred. Now I mostly play acoustic fingerstyle, but shred some. Interest has ebbed and flowed over the years, but been playing forever.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: I wanted a challenge and to get good at something new. It's hard, but I like it and just keep coming back. Been doing it for a couple years and am a blue belt.

Hiking: did it as a kid, now I do it with my wife who pushes me to hike more than I would otherwise which is good

Tech stuff: coding, piracy, stuff like that. Dad was in IT and taught me to look for solutions with tech. Never stopped. I'm not a fantastic coder, but use it for work and also to solve personal challenges, enter piracy.

Sounds like a night terror. If it's just that, then it isn't a health issue. But sleep apnea is actually serious, and you should definitely see a doctor about it. Plus, once you clear that issue up, you'll sleep better and will feel better overall.

That would be a fantastic political ad campaign. Picture of republican politician, "your body my choice", and maybe a bad quote or bill they sponsored. Dems need to step it up with impactful ads

I want a NAS solution to back up my PC and host media files, but prebuilt NAS solutions are incredibly expensive and underwhelming and so I'm planning to build one. Does anyone have recommendations for a NAS interface?

I'm brand new to server management and would prefer something user friendly. I have used linux mint, but currently use windows as my daily driver (planning to switch to mint soon). I'd be fine with a dedicated NAS OS or with something I could run on mint since I'm already familiar with that distro.

Pretty much the title. I've been training for 5 months, injured for 4 weeks in there - just came off of a 2wk recovery from a knee injury. I'm relatively young, 6ft 175lbs, in pretty decent shape.

But I overexert myself to the point of vomiting nearly every class. It's frustrating and embarassing.

I've started doing more cardio and have improved a lot in that regard, but it doesn't seem to help at all on the mats. Do I just need to do more cardio? Is there something nutrition-wise that could help? Open to any and all suggestions.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the advice. I will try 1) not try so hard and ask partners to help me with that, 2) advice to talk to my doctor - I have in the past and he wasn't much help - but it got me to do some research... some medication I'm on can cause hyponatremia, which can cause nausea and vomiting especially after exercise... so I'm going to try a saline solution before/during class and may report back if it works.

Edit 2: took a 3% hypertonic salt solution to class today and it seems to have worked. I asked a higher belt to really push me in a difficult roll after class to test it. Not certain yet, but seems to have fixed the vomiting
