For real though...I said Boo, and my lights flickered. WTF is this sorcery? Only worked the first time. I guess I have some sort of mana pool to build back up?

Good God, for the sake of everybody in 4020, I hope it stays that price. Pretty sure a cup of coffee will be more expensive by then.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand that's exactly why the opening scene of Juon: Black Ghost/White Ghost made me scream like a child. The dread that rises up when something doesn't feel right. There's no build up to a scare...it just slams into you full force. Only movie I ever screamed while watching. Only happened once....but good God. We had to pause the movie and laugh for about 10 minutes as both me and my sibling both screamed.

You sure? There's videos all over the combat footage subreddit showcasing numerous missiles/rockets making contact with the ground.

I can't imagine the unbridled fury that is Musk in private. This exodus is getting under his skin. He truly thought he could just buy a social media platform where he could be King and everyone would have to bow to his wishes. He's running it into the ground, and while he may be okay with loosing billions of dollars on a silly toy, it's done nothing but tarnish his reputation from a business perspective, from a social identity perspective, and (according to the feud with his daughter) his familial perspective.

The man is an absolute unit of shit and pedantic buffoonery, and the best part?....he's done it all to himself. Shoulda just kept quiet Elon.

State citizens are using the fund as intended. If anything, it should highlight how much interest there is in moving to EV's.

As soon as a company can make a cost affordable EV, people are going to be making the switch more and more.

Because it's a documentary about Will Ferrell and his friend doing a road trip across the US?

I used it to write a kickass counteroffer for an internal job promotion. I was pissed off with the offer and wrote out what I REALLY thought. I asked GPT to clean it up and respond with and upbeat and positive response where I'm eager to work with them.

ChatGPT about to help me get an $18k raise.

Man looks like he shit his pants and was caught right in the middle of it. Would also explain why everyone is standing 10ft back.

Well, for starters, there are hobby related meetups. I did boardgames and made several friends through that. There are also Singles meetups for certain age ranges. Where they go to go to bars, breweries, or other activities - essentially somewhere where they can meet and talk. My best friend met his current wife at one. Check them out. You'd be surprised what's available. There are book clubs, sports leagues, etc.

Find something that interests you, and maybe you'll make a connection with someone.

Oh my fucking God....... Please let this be the catalyst towards us getting another Soul Reaver game.

You have to get out of your daily cycle to find someone. Dating apps suck. Meetups are fantastic to meet new people and develop new friend circles. It's how I met my best friend, and my life evolved from there. Don't give up. You'll find someone eventually.

It's gotten everyone in our family and recently just got my daught 4 times yesterday. They are extremely painful and you feel waves of pain for hours. And just ONE OF THEM is capable of doing that. These bastards need to die, and I'm hoping you can help or point me in the direction of a community that can.

Any ideas?

I tried my hand at making a starter years ago and it went poorly. I was gifted some starter earlier this week and have been bulking it up in order to bake some bread this weekend. The starter is MUCH better than any of the ones I've ever made, so Ive had high hopes all week that my sourdough will actually come out decent this time.

I've been following this recipe, and it's been going....not well. Everything was weighed to the gram, including the starter, and "lukewarm" water was about 80ish degrees. The dough is so unbelievably sticky that I can barely scrape it off the sides of the bowl.

Is this normal? It's been years since I've done this so I'm back to questioning everything. I'm planning to just drop the whole thing into a Dutch oven and cook it, but I understand that I'm deviating from the recipe. My Dutch oven cooks were just so much better.

Cna anyone provide a better recipe for just a basic sourdough boule that you've had decent success with? I'd really like to continue baking bread, but I know for a fact that I'll wind up giving up again if I have too many failures (I think I baked 8 different times a few years ago, and I gave up because they were always so dense, and flat.). Really want something with a good, fluffy, stretchy crumb.

Any advice or questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A University of Virginia professor believes he has discovered how to create a freeze-ray device, inspired by the Batman villain, Mr. Freeze. Rather than being a weapon, this device is intended to cool down electronics within spacecraft and high-altitude jets.

A tiny, hard-working bacterium -- which weighs one-trillionth of a gram -- may soon have a large influence on processing rare earth elements in an eco-friendly way.

"Traditional thermochemical methods for separating lanthanides are environmentally horrible," said Buz Barstow, assistant professor of biological and environmental engineering at Cornell, the corresponding author. "It's difficult to refine these elements. That's why we send rare earth elements offshore -- generally to China -- to process them."

Not sure how useful it is yet, but it sounds like with some AI and proper cameras you could use it to completely repair certain components. Theres something similar to this using electrochemical plating to repair microfractures throughout a component - only downside is that it takes like weeks to do it properly (I'll see if I can dig up the paper later)
